✅ Assembling your first scene using overwrite and insert edits

✅ Introduction to the timeline and audio tracks

✅ Exporting a rough cut: understanding export settings and formats

📂 Assignment: Organize media and edit a 30-second scene using provided footage

DAY 2: Editing Foundations & Workflow Efficiency

Goal: Build your first complete sequence and gain fluency in Avid’s editing tools and layout

customization.

✅ Fine-tuning edits: using trim mode, segment mode, and lift/extract

✅ Working with audio: adjusting levels, panning, and using keyframes

✅ Titles and basic effects: using Title Tool and transitions

✅ Color coding clips and using markers for workflow

✅ Creating and managing multiple sequences

✅ Organizing user profiles and saving custom workspaces

✅ Quick overview of Avid’s media creation and render settings

✅ Exporting for review and upload: H.264, QuickTime, and review presets

✅ Troubleshooting common beginner mistakes
